2007 Sustainability Champion Awards

During the 2007 Fort Carson Annual Sustainability Conference, Fort Carson will recognize individuals and/or units that are deserving of the 2007 Sustainability Champion Awards. Please nominate one individual, organization, or group that deserves recognition for their efforts to further Fort Carson’s Sustainability Goals during 2007. Fort Carson’s Sustainability Team will select one individual/organization and one military representative/unit for each award. Winners will be announced at the conference October 30, 2007, and will be posted on the Fort Carson SEMS website.

Nominations are unlimited. Please write a separate, one-page (maximum) commentary highlighting the accomplishments of your nominees during the past year and justification regarding why they deserve recognition. Include your contact information below and your nominees’ information in the appropriate boxes. An incomplete entry may result in a disqualification of the nominee(s). Award 1 – Sustainable Progress through Partnerships

This award will be given to a SC military and community partnership that has achieved measurable sustainability progress in the last 12 months.

Fort Carson/Community

Must show clear evidence of furthering one or more of Fort Carson’s Sustainability Goals, directly or indirectly (See Fort Carson’s 12 Sustainability Goals)

Award 2 – Sustainability Champions Eligibility

Military

Eligibility: Any organization (directorate, unit, etc.) on a military installation in Southern Colorado

Criteria:

Demonstrates a clear understanding of Fort Carson Sustainability Goals
Passionate about furthering Sustainability Goals, demonstrated through attendance at SEMS events; encouraging attendance and training among subordinates; assisting and cooperating “above and beyond” with Sustainability teams and leadership

Must have a direct working relationship with Fort Carson/PCMS in a leadership role
Demonstrate a clear understanding of Fort Carson’s Sustainability Goals
Demonstrate a commitment to unifying long-term military training mission goals with Fort Carson Sustainability Goals
