Roger McFadden,
Sustainable Earth
Roger McFadden is the leader in the development
of the Sustainable Earth product line for Corporate
Express. In the late 1980s, customers began to raise
concerns about chemicals used in cleaning products.
Roger began researching ingredients in cleaning
products and designated several ingredients to be
harmful to the environment and human health.
After much research, Roger determined that there
were less harsh chemicals that could be combined to
make a cleaning solution that maintains the high
cleaning performance of more traditional
chemical-based products.
Roger believes the industry should not wait for or
rely solely on government regulations but instead
lead the change from within organizations that have
the capability to institute sustainable products and
services. Roger says, “We need a cleaning industry
with an environmental conscience and a commitment to
community sustainability and doing the right thing.”
